Energies

Energies are what power the Pokemon's attacks. To power the attack you have to have the amount and the type of energy the card says you have to have, on the Pokemon. After the attack, you leave the energies on the Pokemon (unless the card says otherwise). There are 11 types of energies.      

Colorless, grass, fire, water, lightning, psychic, fighting, darkness, metal, and dragon. 

And of course the new one. Fairy. 

There are no dragon energies but dragon is a type of Pokemon.
